Today was just like yesterday, and the day before, and before that.
I sat quietly in the top of the tallest tree. Surrounded by greenery and open air, I could almost pretend time was really standing still. A breeze rushed through the branches, making the leaves whisper and sigh and the branches creak ever so slightly.
I gently patted the branch I sat on, running my hand along the familiar patterns in the bark. “Now, now. It’s only a breeze. You’ve stood through much greater winds than this.”
